How Do vampire facials Work?

Dr. Srivastava begins the Vampire Facial process by drawing blood from your body then separating the platelets and plasma from red blood cells using a centrifuge.

This concentrated solution is then injected using tiny needles into specific areas of your face to promote healing and regeneration, stimulate collagen production, improve skin texture and tone, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, enhance moisture retention, and tighten loose or sagging skin.

The main idea behind this technique is that platelets contain growth factors that are essential for repairing damaged tissues in our bodies. These growth factors promote cell turnover by helping new cells grow faster while repairing damaged ones.

The whole process takes about 30-45 minutes depending on the area being treated and has minimal side effects such as itching or redness.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I know if a Vampire Facial is right for me?

Everyone can benefit from this rejuvenating treatment. How it can benefit you personally can be determined by Dr. Srivastava during your personalized consultation, Dr. Srivastava will assess your skin's condition to determine which type of PRP treatment is best suited for you. Whether you're looking to reduce wrinkles and fine lines or improve texture and tone, her expertise will customize a treatment plan that meets your unique needs.

  • Are Vampire Facials painful?

The Vampire Facial is a non-invasive procedure that produces no more pain than a small needle would inflict.

  • What concerns can a Vampire Facial help improve?

Static wrinkles aren’t caused by muscle movement, but by age, loss of collagen and elastin in the skin, and external factors like gravity and UV damage. Botox injections can have an effect on static wrinkles, but these aren’t as effective. We recommend dermal fillers for static wrinkles, or you can schedule a consultation with Dr Srivastava  to find out better options.

  • How does a Vampire Facial work?

A small amount of blood is drawn, then spun in a centrifuge to separate platelet-rich plasma (PRP). That PRP is applied and/or delivered into targeted areas with tiny needles to support healing and stimulate collagen and elastin production.

  • How long does the treatment take?

Most appointments take about 30–45 minutes, depending on the areas treated and your personalized plan.

  • What is downtime like and what should I expect after?

Downtime is typically minimal. You may have redness, mild swelling, or a sunburn-like sensation for a short period after treatment. Some patients also experience minor itchiness as the skin calms and recovers.

  • When will I see results and how long do they last?

Many patients notice their skin looking brighter and more refreshed as healing begins, with continued improvement as collagen builds over the following weeks. Results and longevity vary by individual and are best maintained with a recommended treatment schedule.

Post Treatment

  • After care tips

    • Avoid touching your face for the rest of the day. Use clean hands only.
    • Skip makeup for 24 hours (or until any redness has calmed), to reduce irritation and keep pores clean.
    • Use gentle skincare only for 48 hours: mild cleanser + bland moisturizer. Avoid anything “active.”
    • Avoid active ingredients for 3–5 days, including retinoids/retinol, AHAs/BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, vitamin C (if irritating), and strong exfoliants.
    • No intense exercise, saunas, steam rooms, or hot yoga for 24–48 hours (heat and sweat can increase redness and sensitivity).
    • Avoid direct sun exposure for 1 week. If you’re outside, use a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ and reapply.
    • Do not pick or scrub if you experience dryness or light flaking—let skin heal naturally.
    • Avoid swimming for 48–72 hours (pools/hot tubs/ocean), as chlorine and bacteria can irritate healing skin.
    • Hydrate well and keep skin moisturized—hydration supports recovery and glow.
    • Sleep on a clean pillowcase and keep hats/helmets/face coverings off the treated area as much as possible for the first day.
